Total Recruitment Group companies are seeing an increase in the number of mature workers looking for work. Part-time roles are most sought after. Although employers are sometimes reluctant to employ the mature worker, hiring from within this group has many advantages. The qualities of a mature worker who has had a great amount of life experience typically translate to a greater amount of knowledge, people skills and proactivity.
In addition the high level of dependability found in mature workers reduces staff turnover, which means lower recruitment, training and replacement costs. Better decision making, stability and loyalty combined with years of experience can make the mature worker an ideal candidate.
