History of Bluestone Recruitment
Bluestone Recruitment was born from Total Recruitment Group (TRG), which originally opened as Selective Solutions, a provider of staff to the laundry industry in Sydney. When the business opened its doors, it had three employees. Little did this small team realise, the business would explode to become one of Australia's fastest growing recruitment companies.
At this stage the business was synonymous with laundries and dry cleaners, employing in excess of 200 staff in both Sydney and Melbourne.
From exclusively servicing the laundry industry, the business diversified and expanded to specialise in the provision of temporary and permanent recruitment across the IT, executive & office, Sales & Marketing, financial services, healthcare, government, hospitality, industrial & trades, manufacturing, warehousing, engineering (civil and rail) and mining sectors.
The Bluestone Recruitment arm of Total Recruitment was launched in Sunshine, Victoria in May 2003, Brisbane, Queensland in May 2006, Campbelltown, New South Wales in May 2006 and the Gold Coast, Queensland in May 2007.
In September 2011, the Total Recruitment Group (TRG) was acquired by Humanis Group Limited. This acquisition brought the two organisations under the Humanis umbrella to be positioned as one of Australia’s largest recruitment companies.
Humanis Group was now operating under eleven brands: TSS Westaff, ResCo Services, Ultimate Skills, Bell Recruitment, Bluestone Recruitment, Clements Recruitment, Clexan-Peak Personnel, Online Personnel and OnlineRail.
The strategic benefits of this acquisition offered both clients and candidates huge opportunities. With twenty office locations throughout Australia and New Zealand, Total Recruitment Group offered a greater geographical reach, which saw the Group providing the best candidates possible to clients and expanding its networks. The broader scope of services also brought more job opportunities to candidates.
In 2012, Humanis Group decided to combine nine brands under one name. Bluestone was chosen as the brand to unify under, as it offered limitless engagement and recognition opportunities for the businesses key stakeholders.
On 16 July 2012, the Bluestone team officially came together as one unified team with a common goal, to change lives for good by genuinely believing in the potential of every individual and opportunity. We move forward with re-energised optimism and the determination to strive for the better good of our people, clients and candidates every day.
